An official reception was held on Friday at the presidential palace for visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, who arrived here on Thursday on a three-day state visit.

President Sisi reviewed with his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee the guard of honor while artillery fired 21 bullets welcoming president Sisi.

Attending the ceremony was Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

participating in the parade were Indian military men who were carrying the Indian and Egyptian flags.

President Sisi gave a brief speech where he expressed pleasure for visiting India for the second time in less than one year.

He voiced confidence that the visit will help promote bilateral relations in various domains.
