US President Barack Obama said, \"I believe the Congress will approve (Syria action).\"
Speaking at a press conference with Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt in Stockholm, Obama said, \"I did not set a redline (on Syria), the world set a redline on chemical weapons.\"
Clearing out that the only remaining dispute was that who used the chemical weapons in Ghouta, Obama said Syrian opposition did not have capability to use chemical weapon.
Obama once again emphasized that he was talking about action that was limited in time and scope.
Upon a question regarding his preference of Congress approval, Obama said, \"I don\'t believe I am required to take the issue to Congress but it is important to have their support.\"
\"I believe the Congress will approve,\" added Obama.
Obama also said, \"My credibility is not on the line over Syria\", and reminded he had made \"every effort to promote diplomacy as a solution to problems (Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria).\"
