US President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping met here on Friday and discussed severeal issues of mutual concern and hot-button topics like Syria, North Korea and cybersecurity, the White House said .As the meeting started, Obama said there will continue to be disagreements, but tensions can be managed.White House spokesman Ben Rhodes said Obama and Xi discussed North Korea’s nuclear program, plus territorial disputes over the Senkaku Islands.China and the U.S. also announced they’re moving ahead with efforts to phase out hydrofluorocarbons, powerful greenhouse gases blamed for global warming.Earlier today ,Russia warned the United States against any unilateral military strike on Syrian chemical facilities. “We are especially alarmed by the fact that military infrastructure facilities guaranteeing the safety and security of arsenals of Syrian chemical weapons are considered among the possible targets of strikes,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement , carried by Iterfax news agency.
