Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Monday that \"Noone could any more dare to violate Turkish borders in any way. We have taken all related precautions.\" Following the meeting with his US, British, French, Qatari and Saudi Arabian counterparts in France to discuss the chemical weapons agreement on Syria and a related French-drafted UN resolution, Davutoglu spoke to the press in Turkish Embassy in Paris, the French capital. Turkish top diplomat remarked on the Syrian helicopter which was shot down by Turkish fighter jets upon border breach of 2 kilometres into the Turkish land. \"A Syrian helicopter was detected 5 miles off the Turkish-Syrian border. Upon 2-km border breach of the Turkish airspace, the Syrian helicopter was constantly warned by Turkish air defense forces. As the breaching continued, our fighter jets shot down the Syrian helicopter,\" he noted. Davutoglu stated that he would brief the United Nations Secretary-General, NATO and UN Security Council member states regarding the issue. \"Noone could any more dare to violate Turkish borders in any way. Turkish top diplomat added that the foreign ministers with whom he was proceeding the talks in Paris also expressed their full support on Turkey\'s border security. Touching on the disposal of Syria\'s chemical weapons, Davutoglu said \"The solution for the chemical weapons in Syria does not serve as to end the Syrian crisis itself. The crisis might escalate further even without the use of chemical weapons.\" \"We\'ve seen the consequences of violating international laws previously in Halabja, Bosnia and Srebrenica. The Syrian regime must be blocked from using bloody methods in order to prevent more pains in Syria,\" he concluded. I welcome their proposal to hold a meeting with us in the P3+1 format as a positive step. As Turkey is the country that could directly contribute to the peace and the incidents in Syria as neighbouring country to Syria and a NATO member,\" noted Davutoglu. Davutoglu stressed that the UN final report on chemical weapons use in Syria\'s Damascus on August 21 confirmed that sarin gas was used. \"The sarin gas, considering its sophisticated form, and its composition cannot be produced unprofessionally by the Syrian opposition in a workshop or a house, as claimed by some,\" he argued. Turkish top diplomat also highlighted that the report provided evidence that surface-to-surface rockets containing the nerve agent sarin were used in August 21 attack, \"which could only be mounted via means in the hands of the Syrian regime forces.\" Davutoglu argued that a process of elimination of Syria\'s chemical weapons arsenal that could take months would be abused by the Assad regime.
