Baghdad - Fna
Iranian officials announced on Thursday that the explosions in the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad earlier today didn\'t kill or injure any Iranian pilgrim. \"No Iranian pilgrim was harmed in today\'s blasts in Kazimiyah,\" Director-General of Iran\'s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for International and Pilgrimage Affairs Mehdi Shahsavari told FNA on Thursday. He said that all Iranian pilgrims had left the Shiite neighborhood of Kazimiyah in the North of the Iraqi capital before 6:30 morning local time just before the twin blasts rocked the city. Two blasts struck Kazimiyah on Thursday, killing 14 people. Officials said the Kazimiyah blasts occurred almost simultaneously, with at least one caused by a car bomb. Hospital officials confirmed the causalities, which included at least 60 wounded. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information.
