The Netherlands has given an additional 17 million euro to the UNHCR to help people fleeing the violence in Syria. Some of the money will be spent on blankets and heating as winter approaches, Dutch aid minister Lilian Ploumen was quoted saying Wednesday. Till now, the Netherlands has donated 59 million euro for the Syrian refugees.
