Member of the Parliament Emmad Mahrous submitted a request to the Cabinet and the Foreign Minister Sunday to approve granting the political asylum for Turkish Opposition Leader Fethullah Gülen.

Mahrous said the aim of his request is to protect the life of the well-known opposition leader from repression practices carried out by the Turkish authorities against political opponents.
