Ousted president Mohamed Morsi was ordered to stay in jail for four days pending a probe into charges of insulting the judicial authority, Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Saturday.
The investigation committee charged Morsi with insulting the judicial system when he accused 22 of its judges with corruption during the 2005 parliamentary elections. Morsi is also charged with interfering with the prosecutions and with his attempt to influence the criminal court that handles the case of Egyptian former prime minister Dr. Ahmad Shafiq.
Morsi refused to answer to the accusations and denied signing the investigation document
