The U.S. Marine Corps was investigating the weekend death of a Marine who collapsed following training in California, officials said. The soldier, a member of the 2nd Marine Logistics Group based at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, was taking part in the Enhanced Mojave Viper pre-deployment training program at Twentynine Palms, The (Palm Springs, Calif.) Desert Sun reported. He died Saturday night. The Marine, whose name had not been released, was on personal time when he collapsed, Capt. Nicholas Mannweiler said.
