A Beijing court Wednesday sentenced a man to death for killing a toddler by throwing her to the ground during a parking space argument with her mother. Han Lei, 39, was convicted of grabbing the 2-year-old from her carriage and hurling her to the ground in the incident last July in the Daxing district of the Chinese capital, Xinhua News Agency reported. Prior to that he had been arguing with the victim\'s mother about a parking space, the report said. Han, who has a criminal record, fled the scene but was captured the next day, Xinhua said. The child was severely injured and died days later despite treatment.
