Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite on Monday met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, whi is currently on a visit to the Lithuanian capital city of Vilnius. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the peace process developments and discussed bilateral relations. Abbas arrived in Lithuania on Sunday as part of a European tour that will also take him to Belgium. He started the tour on Wednesday with a visit to Rome and the Vatican and later headed to Germany where he met with Chancellor Angela Merkel, Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle and other senior officials.
