Trpoli - XINHUA
Libya\'s acting Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Sidiq Abdelkarim denied that any Libyan families had been stuck at the borders with Algeria, according to a statement obtained by Xinhua on Sunday.
Libyan news websites quoted on Saturday Algerian media reporting that Algerian authorities allowed a number of Libyan citizens to cross the borders into Algerian municipality of Aldbdab, near Illizi, after Friday\'s bloody clashes in the Libyan town of Jeramlh, 550 kilometers southwest of the capital Tripoli.
On Friday night, armed clashes erupted between Libyan border guards in Jeramlh and one local tribe, leaving 11 killed.
Abdelkarim offered his condolences to the families of all victims, but dismissed the reports of Libyan citizens being stuck at the Algerian border as \"baseless.\"
