Lebanese President Michel Sleiman headed today two meeting attended by outgoing Prime Minister Najib Mikati and a number of caretaker Ministers.. The first meeting discussed measures to control the entry of refugees from Syria into Lebanon in accordance with international law and humanitarian considerations, National News Agency (NNA) reported. The second meeting aimed to prepare for the conference to be held in New York on September 25, devoted to Lebanon in particular, in order to support its stability and its institutions, its army and its economy. It is also aimed to address the growing burden of refugees and to agree on a funding mechanism.
