The President of Kuwait Bar Association Khaled Al-Kandari said yesterday that the association was an active member of Arab Bar Union and its participation in various activities served the profession and Arab joint work. Al-Kandari made his remarks on the sideline of his participation in the permanent office of Arab Bar Union meetings scheduled here in Amman. The Kuwaiti lawyer added that the three-day meetings of the union will discuss mechanism needed to improve the profession and tackle Arab issues in the region. "The meetings will also cover issues facing the lawyers as a profession and activities of the union with regard to Arab revolutions in the region," Al-Kandari said, noting on the "importance and responsibilities of the union in such critical time. Al-Kandari also expressed hope that participants in the meetings will issue recommendations that will benefit common interests and enhance the lawyers profession in general. For his part, the Union's Secretary General Omar Al-Zain said that the lawyers share vital responsibility in developing and improving the lawyer's profession. Al-Zain added that the union has setup a working program throughout next year, which coincide with decisions and resolutions by general conferences and the union's permanent office.
