Relations between Mexico and Kuwait and activation of cooperation and dialogue between lawmakers of the two countries were main topics of discussions held by the Kuwaiti ambassador to Mexico with the parliament chairman.
Ambassador Samih Johar Hayat conveyed, during the meeting with Francisco Augustine Vieira, greetings of Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzoug Al-Ghanim and his aspiration to cement the parliamentary relations with Mexico, according to an embassy statement, issued on Friday.
Hayat added that he discussed with Vieira prospects of establishing a joint friendship committee for coordination at international quarters, underlining necessity of holding dialogue between the MPs of Kuwait and Mexico.
For his part, Vieira noted the deep-rooted, distinctive and friendly ties bounding leaderships and governments of the two countries, indicating that he would head the Mexican members of the aspired joint commission.
Vieira also affirmed his determination to work sincerely with Speaker Al-Ghanim for bolstering the parliamentary ties between the two states.
