Bilateral relations between Arab states, namely Kuwait, and the Argentines distinguished statements made by officials and diplomats of the two countries during a ceremonial luncheon, organized here by the Kuwaiti ambassador, Abdel-Aziz Al-Roumi.The luncheon was held, at the residence of the ambassador, for honoring the outgoing governor of the province of Santa Fe, Hermes Binner, his successor, Antonio Bonfatti. It was attended by Minister of Production in the province, Juan Jose, a visiting delegation of the Kuwaiti Municipality and Arab diplomats.Addressing attendees, Binner touched on necessity of enhancing the Arab-Argentine relations, topics related to a recently-held convention by Zionist organizations and various issues of common interest for the two nations.Binner, who was accompanied by his spouse, expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti ambassador for giving him the chance to meet directly with the Arab diplomats, ahead of end of his tenure, due on December 10. He apologized for absence of the new governor, due to some emergency meetings.The outgoing governor affirmed necessity of lifting level of the Arab-Argentine relations, keenness of the new government in Santa Fe on maintaining cooperation with Kuwait. He also called on the present Kuwaiti municipal figures to tour landmark sites across the province, visit its provincial capital, Rosario, and called for twining between it and Kuwait City. The Kuwaiti figures expressed readiness to pay such visits and meet heads of municipal councils for discussing mutual cooperation.In turn, the attending Arab diplomats made statements about progress of the ties between the two nations that have noticeably improved, as a result of appreciated efforts by the two sides to set up basis for mutual understanding.For his part, Al-Roumi affirmed that the gathering was intended to cement bridges of interaction and communications between the State of Kuwait and Santa Fe for enhancing mutual understanding for service of common interests between the two friendly countries.At conclusion of the reception, the Kuwaiti ambassador granted an award, a golden framed picture of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to the outgoing governor, as an expression of keenness on maintaining these bilateral ties.
