Kuwait and Egypt have \"strong and exceptional\" ties and the gulf state will always remain a supporter of the aspirations of the Egyptian people, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt Dr. Rashid Al-Hamad emphasized, Saturday, after meeting with Egyptian soccer star players.
\"Kuwait\'s stand to Egypt does not need to be thanked because it\'s a given fact,\" Al-Hamad told representatives from the Egyptian soccer veterans society. He further said that sports has a major role in strengthening these bilateral ties. He welcomed the soccer players\' suggestions in holding friendly matches between the Kuwait and Egyptian teams.
On his part, head of the society Abdulmiam Al-Hajj expressed his appreciation to the Kuwaiti leadership for its unconditional support, especially during this critical period that his country is going through.
Other members of the society followed suit by expressing their thanks to the gulf country\'s efforts in achieving stability and peace in the region. They also went on describing the solid and unwavering bilateral ties.
