Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah participated Monday in a GCC ministerial troika meeting with Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi to discuss a host of issues of mutual interest. The meeting was also attended by Bahrain\'s foreign minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa, whose country\'s holding rotating GCC presidency, and GCC secretary general Abdullatif Al-Zayani. Speaking to KUNA after the meeting, Al-Zayani said the two sides discussed preparations for the GCC-China strategic dialogue. The talks \"show identical of most views\" over the issues, he said. Al-Zayani said Wang thanked the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries for their initiative that ended the conflict in Yemen. Sheikh Sabah, meanwhile, took part in the consultative meeting of the Arab-African partnership, part of preparations for the Arab-African Summit that would be held in Kuwait late in November. Sheikh Sabah is scheduled to attend a lunch hosted by British foreign secretary William Hague in honor of the foreign ministers of the six GCC countries. Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah is part of the official delegation headed by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who will be representing His Highness the Amir to the UN General Assembly meetings.
