Moving to River Nile State where thousands of victims are located, Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) team in Sudan continue delivering aid to victims of floods that have recently swept the country. The team in cooperation with Sudan Red Crescent delivered aid to around 1, 800 families in Abu Ahmad area in the northern state, KRCS Field Director Ahmad Abdullah Al-Faqaan told KUNA Sunday. Al-Faqaan added that the aid included blankets, clothes, and various type of food supplies. Earlier, KRCS dispatched the eighth Kuwaiti relief plane carrying food and humanitarian aid to Sudan. Al-Faqaan said the eighth plane has already arrived in Khartoum, carrying around 10 tons of supplies, which included water pumps, power generators, and various basic needs. The Kuwaiti official added that the team arrived in Khartoum on August 25th upon instructions of the political leadership, topped by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to provide USD 2.5 million worth of aid.
