Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh met here on Thursday UN High Commissioner for Refugees(UNHCR) Antonio Guterres. During the meeting, Judeh discussed with the UN official the continuing repercussions of the Syrian crisis and its impacts on neighboring countries, particularly Jordan and ways to deal with Syrian refugees file. According to a press release issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the two sides stressed their keenness on the continuation of joint cooperation and coordination on Syrian refugees on Jordanian territories in order to render services to them. He also expressed his country’s appreciation for the role of the United Nations , its branches and its various institutions in cooperating with Jordan and support to enable it to continue to carry out its humanitarian role towards the Syrian refugees. For his part, Guterres affirmed necessity of Jordan’s role in the reception of a large numbers of Syrian refugees and provided service to them , stressing necessity to assist Jordan so as to provide services to the refugees, urging the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in this regard.
