King Abdullah II adopted a decree to dissolve the Upper House, effective as of tomorrow, a statement by the Jordanian Royal Court said on Thursday. Another decree was also issued appointing the 75-member new Senate. A third decree was issued today appointing Abdul Ra\'ouf Rawabdeh as Senate president as of October 25th, the statement added. Rawabdeh was first appointed as the first Prime Minister since King Abdullah II assumed power in 1999.
