Jordan, Japan discuss security cooperation, regional developments

Jordan Deputy King Prince Faisal Ben Al Hussan and Member of the House of Representatives of Japan,Taro Kono discussed regional and international developments in Amman.

Faisal said after the meeting that Jordan is keen to promote cooperation ties with Japan which is one of the most important supporters of Jordan.

Jordan Interior Minister Salameh Hammad and Kono held talks on means to activate cooperation in security fields, and the latest developments in the region.

He said that Jordan and Japan are bound by close relations in various fields, particularly in the security and policing domains.

Talks also touched on combating terrorism which Hammad said requires concerted international efforts to eliminate it.

" The stability and security the Kingdom enjoys are credited to the wise Hashemite leadership which endeavors to make Jordan among leading countries in respecting human rights, and meeting the aspirations of Jordanians", Hammad remarked.
