Japan’s top government spokesperson says Japan has not received any specific information from the US on possible military action against Syria, Radio Japan reported.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga on Thursday refused to answer when asked what action Japan would take if the US attacks Syria without a UN Security Council resolution.
Suga said he can not make comments based on speculation.
He also said the government is doing its best to help improve the situation in Syria in close coordination with the US and other countries.
