Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said Friday that he will hold bilateral talks with his counterparts from Iran, Egypt and other countries on UN general assembly sidelines next week to discuss the Syrian situation. \"I am scheduled to conduct bilateral meetings with the UK, France, Germany, Australia, Iran and Egypt amongst others. I will be having discussions with the foreign ministers of respective countries concerning the situation in Syria, which is the current important agenda for the international community,\" Kishida told a press conference. \"I would like to seek understanding of Japans position on the regional situation as well as global agenda,\" the minister said. He will also exchange views with his counterparts on the bilateral relationship as well as the situation surrounding their respective regions, Kishida added. The minister is scheduled to visit New York for six days from Monday to attend UN General Assembly related meetings, including Foreign Ministers Meeting of the Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Initiative and Group of 4 (Japan, Brazil, Germany and India) Foreign Ministers meeting on UN Security Council Reform. \"I will convey my determination to come up with wisdom and contribute to such global agenda as disarmament, non-proliferation, post-MDGs, Security Council reform, women and human rights, and counter-terrorism,\" said Kishida
