Ex-president Laurent Gbagbo left Ivory Coast on Tuesday for The Hague, where the International Criminal Court is probing alleged crimes committed during post-election violence, an official said. Gbagbo, who was notified of his imminent transfer earlier Tuesday and will become the first former head of state to be surrendered to the ICC, left the northern town of Korhogo shortly after 6:00 pm (1800 GMT), Abidjan prosecutor Simplice Kouadio Koffi told AFP.
