Israeli troops have shot dead a Palestinian near Al-Buraij refugee camp in center of Gaza Strip, the Israeli Army said. A military spokesman told Israel Radio on Sunday the soldiers opened fire at the man when he approached the security fence in a suspicious manner. The soldiers suspected that the Palestinian came close to the demarcation line with intention of launching an attack, he added. Body of the slain man was handed over early today to the Palestinian side via Bait Hanoun checkpoint in the north of the enclave. The corpse was later taken to Al-Shifaa Hospital.
