Ramallah - KUNA
Dozens of Palestinians were wounded on Friday when Israeli security forces opened fire on angry Palestinian protesters in the occupied West Bank. Israeli forces have fire live ammunition, rubber bullets and tear gas bombs on Palestinian protesters who responded with hurling stones, an eyewitness told KUNA about the Friday clashes in the West Bank city of Al-Khalil (Hebron). At least 16 protesters were injured in the clashes, the eyewitness stated. The same clashes reoccurred in the cities of Ramallah, Nablus and East Jerusalem, leaving scores of injured Palestinians. Thousands of Palestinians have organized 40 demonstrations across the West Bank cities after mid-day Friday prayers to protest against the repeated storm of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Muslim World\'s third holiest place, by Jewish extremists and Israeli police. The protesters also criticized the Israeli police harassment and unprovoked attacks on Palestinian worshippers inside and near Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Palestinian \"Youth for Intifada Coalition\" called on all Palestinians to step up the resistance against the Israeli occupation on the 13th anniversary of Al-Aqsa Intifada which falls on Friday in protest against the Israeli escalated attacks in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
