Israeli occupation authorities decided today to close the Karam Abu Salem crossing on Wednesday to be re-opened on Sunday, Head of the Coordination Committee for entry of goods in the Gaza Strip Raed Fattouh said. The Israeli authorities will close the crossing due to the Jewish Holidays, Fattouh added. The occupation authorities allowed today the entry of 440 truckloads with aids and goods for the commercial, agricultural and transport sectors, including 20 trucks loaded with gravel for private commercial sector and limited quantities of cement, construction iron and gravel for the international project as well as limited quantities of gasoline and cooking gas. The Karam Abu Salem, the only commercial crossing operating in Gaza for the entry of goods, aids and fuel is closed every Friday and Saturday.
