The Israeli Knesset foreign and security committee approved the request of Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon to summon 1,400 reserve border guard troops to be deployed all over Israel, Israel Radio reported.

The decision was taken during an emergency session of the Knesset held early Wednesday. As many as 850 reserve troops have been summoned so far since the outbreak of clashes in the occupied Palestinian territories.
