Jerusalem - QNA
The Israeli Interior Ministry has advanced plans for 900 new illegal settlement units next to the Gilo neighborhood in east occupied Jerusalem. The plans initially had been approved a year ago and that these authorizations were purely technical, The Jerusalem Post reported today. Occupied Jerusalem City Councilor accused Netanyahu of trying to ruin the peace process by allowing the project to move forward at this time. Earlier this week, the Israeli Construction and Housing Ministry announced its intention to market 793 new illegal settlement home units in the neighborhoods of east Jerusalem. Both announcements come in advance of the second round of direct talks with the Palestinians, scheduled for Wednesday in the city.
