Baghdad - Arab Today
The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rejected Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statements about Mosul battle to free the city from Daesh terrorist group.
Such statements are a flagrant interference in the Iraqi internal affair and violate bilateral relations principles, the ministry said.
The ministry added positions of the Turkish leadership are very disturbing and may lead to severing joint ties.
The ministry's spokesman Ahmed Gamal said in statements on Monday that the Mosul liberation battle will be the last victories of the Iraqi people.
Gamal urged Ankara government to show gestures of goodwill while fighting terrorism through backing Iraqi efforts in ongoing battles against Daesh until the Mosul battle.
