Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari met here today with the US Ambassador to Iraq Robert Stephen Beecroft. During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations, the political and security situation in the country and the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to the United States as well as issues of common interest ,especially the political and economic cooperation, said the Iraqi Foreign Ministry in a press statement . Zebari briefed the U.S. ambassador on the ongoing preparations for the legislative elections in Iraq.
