The Iraqi Defense Ministry announced Friday it had received four more F16 warplanes.

"It was the fourth batch of F16 warplanes that Iraq received," the ministry’s spokesman Tahseen Ibrahim said, adding they brough to 15 the number of the Iraqi army's F16 fighter jets.

Iraq has signed a contract to buy 36 Lockheed Martin F-16 warplanes worth $65 million to bolster its air force.
