Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held separate meetings with his Azeri and Portuguese counterparts on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York. Iranian top diplomat and his Azeri counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov during their meeting on Friday discussed bilateral ties and mutual cooperation as well as the latest regional and international developments. Mammadyarov invited Zarif to take a trip to Baku. The Iranian foreign minister also held a separate meeting with his Portuguese counterpart Rui Manuel Parente Chancerelle de Machete. During the meeting, Zarif underlined that there is no problems between Iran and Portugal, and added, \"If proper grounds are paved, economic cooperation can further expand.\" De Machete, for his part, referred to the good relations between Tehran and Lisbon, and called continued communications and consultations between the two countries as constructive. Zarif is in New York to take part in the 68th Session of the UN General Assembly, which opened on September 17. Iran\'s President Hassan Rouhani also traveled to New York on Monday to take part in the event. President Rouhani addressed the UN meeting on September 24 and left New York on Friday night.
