Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said here on Saturday that Iran will take part in Geneva II Conference, if invited, just to help solve the Syrian crisis through political means. Speaking at a joint news conference with visiting UN-Arab Envoy on Syria Lakhdar Brahimi, he confirmed that his country has not been invited to attend the conference so far. But, he pointed out that his country is seeking to help in finding a realistic and drastic solution to this major problem which poses serious threats to the region. He added that Iran will spare no effort to help relieve the sufferings of the Syrian people. For his part, the UN-Arab envoy on Syria said everybody in Syria should seek to find a solution to their country\'s current crisis through peaceful means, arguing that brutalities in the country will come to an end only when the crisis is settled. He reiterated that the UN is serious about holding the Geneva II Conference and everybody is looking forward to seeing Iran taking part in this event. Barahimi arrived here earlier on Saturday as part of a regional tour that has already taken him to Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon and Turkey
