Kuwait - Irna
Iranian deputy foreign minister for Arab and Africa affairs, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always challenged for establishing sustainable security in the Persian Gulf region. Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in a press conference in Kuwait on Thursday. “Relations between Islamic Republic of Iran and its neighbors are based on respecting mutual ties and non-interference in the internal affairs of neighboring countries,” the diplomat added. He pointed out that the regional countries are responsible for establishing the security of the Persian Gulf. In response to a question, Amir Abdollahian said that IR Iran does not consider the issue of energy in the Persian Gulf merely an economic one, but it consider it as a strategic product which influences the international relations to a great extent. “Some countries are trying to bring about insecurity to the region, and Iran is closely following up this matter and it does not allow the Middle East region to come up with another devastating war,” the Iranian diplomat further said.
