Indonesia keeps encouraging countries to acknowledge Palestine\'s independence, an official said here on Friday. Spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Michael Tene told a press briefing that the country is also exploring to open a diplomatic representative in Palestine. \"However, we still face obstacles,\" said Tene without elaborating further. He said that Indonesia has been providing helps of capacity building to Palestine and coordinate concrete helps from countries who share the same concern. \"Palestine\'s independence is one our priorities. In Non- Alignment Movement (NAM) summit in Bali last year, we raised the issue. Indonesia also has drafted a roadmap for the NAM to support Palestine. We keep encouraging countries that have not yet acknowledged Palestine\'s independence to do that,\" said Tene. He added that in the last few months, several countries from Asia and Latin America have voiced their acknowledgement on Palestine\'s independence.
