Indian President Pranab Mukherjee Wednesday embarked on a weeklong state visit to Belgium and Turkey, sources said. Mukherjee will be on visit to Belgium capital Brussels till Oct. 5, following an invitation from Belgian King Philippe. During his tour, he will inaugurate a major Indian cultural festival in Brussels, called \"Europalia-India 2013-14,\" the sources said. The Indian head-of-state, who is leading a high-level delegation, will head to Turkey on Oct. 5 for three days, at an invitation from Turkish President Abdullah Gul. This is Mukherjee\'s maiden trip to Europe since taking office as president last year.
