India on Tuesday accused Pakistani troops of firing at their posts along the disputed border in Kashmir for the third consecutive day, Indian army spokesman said. The Indian army spokesman, Col. R.K. Kalia told media that Pakistani army violated the ceasefire in Mendhar sector of Kashmir - some 141 miles north of Indian Administered Kashmir\'s winter capital, Jammu. \"It was the third ceasefire violation in the past two days,\" the spokesman said. \"Pakistani troops fired at our positions in Mendhar sector of the LoC today (Tuesday) morning,\". \"They used small arms, automatics and infantry mortars to target our positions. Our troops retaliated with same calibre weapons. The firing started at 8.40 a.m. and till last reports came in, exchange of fire was still going on,\" he said. India has said that its nine soldiers were killed during ceasefire violations by the Pakistani troops this year so far along the disputed Kashmir border. The ceasefire violation has been reported following India\'s External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid and Pakistani prime minister\'s adviser on foreign affairs and national security, Sartaj Aziz, met in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and agreed to respect the LoC ceasefire agreement last week. India and Pakistan have agreed in 2003 to observe a ceasefire along the international border and LoC in Kashmir. Since then the fragile ceasefire remains in effect between the two countries with occasional reports of its violation.
