Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying has congratulated Donald Trump on his US election victory.

Hong Kong leader said his government "looks forward to deepening our links with the US", ABC news said.

He added "Hong Kong and the US enjoy close economic and trade ties, the two have also established close connections in various areas such as education, culture and tourism".
