French President Francois Hollande held on Wednesday a meeting with the country's Defense Council on counter-terror efforts and the conditions in Iraq, Syria and Mali.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Elysee Palace said the council reviewed the precautionary measures taken in view of terror threats.
The talks also tackled French forces' support for Iraqi troops within the framework of ongoing operations to liberate Mosul and Raqqa from Daesh terrorists, the statement said.
The conferees also discussed the latest developments in Mali and the French army's support for Malian armed forces and United Nations peacekeeping forces to put into effect the peace deal.
