German Interior Minister Thomas de Meziere inaugurated Monday the German Islam Conference ( DIK ) in the presence of the heads of the Islamic Arab and Turkish authorities to probe the spiritual care of Muslims.

The spiritual care focuses on the Muslims in the German prisons and how to deal with them.

The conference is held on the backdrop of a suicide incident committed in mid October by a Syrian prisoner detained in a German prison over terror charges.
