Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah represented Kuwait at a meeting between the GCC Troika and South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se here on Wednesday. The meeting, hosted by the GCC mission to the UN on the sidelines of the 68th session of the UN General Assembly, focused on ways to promote economic cooperation and joint investments between the GCC and South Korea. The two sides also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest. Besides Sheikh Sabah, the GCC troika includes Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa - whose country holds the current GCC presidency - and GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdulatif Al-Zayani. Earlier today Sheikh Sabah accompanied His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah during his meetings with Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the General Assembly John W. Ashe. HH the Prime Minister who arrived here on Friday leading Kuwait mission to the 68th GA session delivered Kuwait address to the gathering earlier today on behalf of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
