A truck laden with 140 gas cylinders exploded Monday in the Sports City District in Amman, triggering a series of explosions of gas cylinders. Civil Defense Department Colonel Farid Media spokesman Al Shara said in a statement that no casualties were reported, Jordan news agency (PETRA) reported. The explosion caused a fire in the four nearby vehicles and a building. Residents of the building were evacuated, he said, adding that the rescue teams are working to put off the blaze.
