Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday that Russia will not be lured into a confrontation with the United States and NATO. 
Lavrov was giving comments to the press and said that the Russian administration is aware to the pressure against to change its position regarding a number of international issues. 
He revealed that the Russian administration has no plans to take the initiative in returning to the G8. He added that the major western countries were persuading themselves that Russia has to be returned to the group.
