Close family of ailing anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela gathered at his rural homestead in Qunu on Tuesday, an AFP correspondent witnessed, as he remained in critical condition in hospital.

One of Mandela’s daughters and at least two grandchildren were seen entering the home for a meeting that was expected to discuss Mandela’s health and his possible gravesite
