Relations between the UAE and South Korea have witnessed notable growth in recent years thanks to the directives of the wise leadership, Ambassador of the UAE to South Korea Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi, said on Tuesday.

"The Emirati-Korean Friendship Society has contributed to strengthening the cultural exchange between the two countries," he said while he received a delegation from the society headed by its chairman Humaid Abdullah Al Hammadi.

The ambassador applauded the efforts of the society in promoting relations between the youth in both countries.

Founded in February 2012, the Emirati-Korean Friendship Society seeks to encourage citizens to organise joint activities and shows to promote the Emirati and Korean traditions, Al Hammadi said during the meeting.

It also supports the publishing of researches and reports about South Korea for those interested in the experience of the Asian country.
