Egyptian Ambassador here Amr Helmy on Wednesday underlined the importance of upgrading Egyptian-Italian relations in all domains of joint cooperation.

At a meeting with a visiting Egyptian delegation of popular diplomacy led by chairman of the Independent Current Ahmed Fadaly, Helmy indicated that bilateral relations are progressing. He expected that large numbers of Italian tourists will visit Egypt in the coming period.

He further held that exchange of visits between the two countries at the official and popular levels will help enhance joint cooperation.
