A delegation from the Independence Current on Tuesday met with members of the Italian Institute for relations with the Mediterranean countries and Asia.

The delegation announced the formation of Egyptian-Italian relations' council to promote bilateral cooperation.

The council includes representatives from the civil society in Egypt and Italy, said a statement by the Independence Current delegation.

The first session, held Tuesday in Rome, is meant to develop the Egyptian-Italian relations in all spheres, including the crisis of Italian student Giulio Regeni, along with all economic and cultural fields.
