Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Safwat Mesalam and CEO of EgyptAir Airlines Hisham el Nahhas met Friday with families of some of the victims of a plane that crashed into the Mediterranean early Thursday. 

The families were given all the information and their questions were answered, the Egyptian flag carrier said in a statement.

It stressed that it is closely following up findings of rescue and search teams to get updates about the wreckage.
